Portraits:
The medium I preffer to use for portraits is soft pastel & Prismacolor pencils. When I do a piece for someone I usualy do the framing & matting myself. I purchase all of my frames & mats there when they are on sale & I only charge my clients what I pay in materials for the framing and matting & no extra for labor. That's a way of giving them a little added bonus & saving them the trouble of paying more & having it framed & put together elsewhere. When I give an estimate on what a drawing will cost I never include the cost of the framing and matting...only an estimate for the drawing itself. I do this because some people may want very elaborate & expensive frames where as others may preffer to have a more simple frame with or without matting. When I give someone an estimate for the drawing itself, I charge by the face with portraits because the faces take the most time to complete & it's the most tedious & precise part of the drawing. For this reason, I dont have a price list available for frame sizes. The first subject in any drawing is $90.00 & $60.00 for any additional faces in the same piece. There may also be additional cost due to an elaborate background or full figures (more than a "bust" head & shoulder view) wich can be done upon request. If I'm asked to do a drawing of more than one person in the same picture, I dont necessarily need a photo of those people together. You may want to choose your favorite photo of each of them & I will merge them together in the drawing. Please be sure that the faces in your photos are crisp & clear enough for me to see the small details. Photos may be emailed to me at artbyariane@hotmail.com or arrangements can be made to meet with you in person at your convenience...
Murals:
An accurate estimate may vary drasticly depending upon the detail, size and location of the mural. Photos may be sent by email of any ideas for the subject matter and desired measurements and an estimate can be provided this way or a visit to the location by the artist is an option as well. Estimates on location for all murals are free of charge provided that the location is no more than a 30 minute drive ($20 per hour to aid in cost of gas for any further travel). I will travel to any location willingly to complete a mural, though lodging, gas money/plane fare must be provided in full by the client).
Oil on Canvas/ Acrylic on Canvas: much like the estimate for the murals, this would depend upon detail and size. I would need to see a picture of the desired image or have a detailed description of your idea along with the measurments of the canvas before accurately providing an estimate. Belly Casts (pregnant):
Casts raw or painted one solid color are $120.oo & additional cost will be added for more elaborate custom designs. For your convenience, I will travel to your location to perform this service in the comfort of your home for no additional fee if you are within 30 minutes driving time from me. I will gladly drive further to meet with a client however gas money must be provided ($10 per each additional 30 minutes of driving)
Book Illustrations:
The average cost per page is $50 & the author will then have purchased the art & own all rights to the reproduction of it. Depending upon the detail desired on each page in the medium of your choice the cost may drasticly vary. An accurate estimate can be provided however once you talk to me about what you have in mind for your book.
Caracature Events:
My base rate per open event where tips are acceptable is $50.00 for the first 2 hours $10.00 for each additional hour. I can complete a charcoal characature in an average of 7 minutes! (if the location of your event is beyond 30 minutes driving time, money for gas may be required)
For private events where tips are not accepted, I charge a flat rate of $50 to attend your party. This fee includes the first 15 caracatures. Any additional caracatures are $5.00
